Privacy Policy

This policy describes how NorthCareGuide (“we”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and safeguards personal information on northcareguide.com, in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation, including Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

What we collect

• Details you choose to send us, such as your name, email address and message.
• Technical information gathered automatically, including browser, device, pages visited and referring addresses.
• Information from cookies and similar technologies, as set out in our Cookie Policy and only with your consent where required.

We don't request personal health information, and we ask that you don't send it.

Why we use it

• To run, maintain and improve the site.
• To reply to your messages.
• To measure traffic and credit referrals to partner sites, with consent where required.

Advertising and analytics

If you agree, we may use tools such as Google Ads and analytics services to understand visits and measure our advertising. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies to record pages viewed, clicks and device type. We never use health information to target ads and we do not knowingly collect information about your health.

Leaving our site

Partner links take you to another website. Anything you share there, including medical intake information, is governed by that partner's privacy policy.

Sharing and storage

We don't sell personal information. Limited information may be shared with service providers such as hosting and analytics companies, who handle it for us under contract, or where the law requires it. Some providers may store data outside Canada, where foreign laws may apply.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct your personal information, withdraw consent at any time and, where provincial law permits, ask for deletion or de-indexing. Send requests to our privacy officer at privacy@northcareguide.com; we reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Commercial emails

We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and you can unsubscribe whenever you like.

Age

This site is meant for adults 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.
